The participants can participate in the categories they belong to (not younger) and the next one if they wish, but in no case in the higher categories.
The participants in all categories (except adults), should be brought along the day of the competition a proof of their year of birth.
In the event of an age-related objection and competitor cannot prove his/her age, the competitor will automatically be transferred to the last position, irrespective of the judge’s judgment.
Competitors will have to arrive an hour before the start of competition.
For the Solo, Juveniles, Latin categories there will be clothing restrictions that you will find in details below.
Regulations for TEAMS & MEGA TEAMS
All team categories are split Teams & Mega TEAMS
Teams: 4-8 people / dancers
Mega Teams: 9 or more dancers
· A team of 4 to 8 people can have 1 participant from the exact next age category.
A team of 9 to 12 people, 2 participants.
A team of 13 to 16 people, 3 participants.
A team of 17 to 20 people, 4 participants etc.
· Adults’ teams are permitted to include teachers’ vocational dancers competing in the following proportion:
Groups of 4-8 persons -1 teacher
Group of 9-12 persons, 2 teachers.
Group of 13-16 persons 3 teachers.
Group of 17-20 persons 4 teachers etc.
· The duration of the team music is strictly up to 3 minutes.
The music play is given to the organizer not later than 30 minutes before the competition starts on USB stick, where the group category and its number should be indicated.
The music that will be used for the choreographies of the teams should not contain inappropriate content, racist or derogatory comments, unpleasant or offensive language.
The organization reserves the right not to play this music and not allow the team to compete.
There is no limit to the theme of music selection but it is recommended that the selection of character and speed of music be consistent with the IDTA (Latin and Ballroom) book.
The entry and exit of athletes to and from the dancing floor must not exceed 30 seconds in total. In the event of an overrun, the team will be automatically transferred to the last position regardless of the judge’s judgment.
· In the categories of permitted use of props, it should be taken into consideration that it is forbidden to do, anything that damages or defiles, the dance floor.
The team is responsible for picking up items in the foreseeable time.
· In the event that the category does not meet the minimum of 3 entries, the organizers reserve the right to join the respective categories Team and Mega Team.
· Costumes are permitted in all categories, regardless of age.
· Cheerleading categories only allow the use of pompom.
ALL LADIES LATIN & ALL LADIES SHOW LATIN CATEGORIES
The following rules will apply to all ladiesLatin categories:
· Change of costumes and use of objects during choreography is prohibited.
· The costume must be like the well-known competitive costumes, no other character, personality or role different from that of Latin dancer is acceptable.
· Clothes that are too short will be carefully checked.
Should not be provocative and will be considered inappropriate if there is an over- exposure of certain areas of the body or is inappropriate for the contestant’s age. Juveniles are not permitted for deep decolte, non for see-through in the hips and buttocks.
The bodysuit should embrace the buttocks.
· Latin shoes are a must. In juvenile category a thick heel of 1,5 or 2 inches is allowed.
For junior and next categories up to 2 inches or more with thick or thin heel is acceptable.
· Choreography is not allowed to have a script scenario or theatre elements.
The 5 Latin American dances are presented in their classic form through Latin competitive figures and open category rhythms.
Lifts, stunts, acrobatic movements that carry the dancer upside down, support or carry his weight with his hands are prohibited.
It is forbidden for the upper body- torso to come into contact with the ground (contact with the knees and movements allowed to sit on the floor).
· This Category is judged in :
1) Image/ Performance (degree of difficulty, degree of performance, style appearance projection, expressiveness, costumes).
2) Technique (balance, flow, foot and hand treatment, volume of movement, movement harmony, flexibility).
3) Musicality (rhythm synchronization, musicality, rhythmic interpretation.
The following rules will apply to the All Ladies show Latin Category:
· Choreographies in this category are thematic.
The character, a story, a scenario in the costumes of the dancers can be clearly distinguished.
Costume changes and accessories are accepted, but caution is advised not to overdo it.
· Clothes that are too short will be carefully checked.
Should not be provocative and will be considered inappropriate if there is an over- exposure of certain areas of the body or is inappropriate for the contestant’s age. Juveniles are not permitted for deep decolte, non for see-through in the hips and buttocks.
The bodysuit should embrace the buttocks.
· Latin shoes are a must.
In juvenile category a thick heel of 1,5 or 2 inches is allowed.
From junior up to 2 inches or more with thick or thin heel is acceptable.
· This category also ideally shows all 5 Latin American dances.
It is recommended that these free movements do not exceed 30% of choreography so that the concept of Latin in choreography is not lost.
This category is judges in:
1) Image/ Performance (degree of difficulty, degree of performance, style appearance, projection, expressiveness, costumes).
2) Technique (balance, flow, foot and hand treatment, volume of movement, harmony, flexibility).
3) Musicality (rhythm synchronization, musicality, rhythmic interpretation.
4) Show (theme-script assignment, idea transfer to judges).
ONE DANCE LATIN AND ONE DANCE BALLROOM CATEGORIES
· These categories apply to teams that have strictly only one dance Latin or Ballroom.
The team may consist of single girls or single boys or both boys and girls dancing in pairs of individually.
· In these categories there is no restriction on music or theme choice in choreography.
Costume changes and accessory use are permitted.
· Clothes that are too short will be carefully checked.
Should not be provocative and will be considered inappropriate if there is an over- exposure of certain areas of the body or is inappropriate for the contestant’s age. Juveniles are not permitted for deep decolte, non for see-through in the hips and buttocks.
The bodysuit should embrace the buttocks.
· Latin shoes are a must.
In juvenile category a thick heel of 1,5 or 2 inches is allowed.
From junior up to 2 inches or more with thick or thin heel is acceptable.
Formation Latin & Formation Ballroom Categories
· These categories refer to teams consisting of couples.
The minimum number of couples is 3 (6 people).
Belly Dance Teams Category
· No accessory is allowed in this category.
· The choice of music is free and some themes can be distinguished
Show Belly Dance Category
· In show Belly Dance Category the use of one or more accessories is permitted (veil, rattan, feathers, sword).
Teams Freestyle Category
· Teams’ choreographies have to present figures and kinesiology from IDTA’s freestyle and advanced freestyle book and from RAD’s modern book.
Movements from other dances such as contemporary, jazz, funky jazz are allowed but they should not exceed 30% of choreography.
· There are no clothing restrictions. It is recommended that the appearance of the dancers to be appropriate and aesthetically acceptable.
Clothes should not be provocative and considered inappropriate if there is an over – exposure to certain areas of body or is inappropriate in age.
· Jazz, ballet, half rhythmic or contemporary shoes socks or half socks, even with bare feet are allowed.
Aerosol shoes are prohibited.
· There are no restrictions at teams’ music regarding the character, style and speed of music.
The music that will be used for the choreographies of the teams should not contain inappropriate content, racist or derogatory comments, unpleasant or offensive language.
The organization reserves the right not to play this music and not allow the team to compete.
Teams Street-dance Category
· There are no clothing restrictions.
It is recommended that the appearance of the dancers to be appropriate and aesthetically acceptable.
Clothes should not be provocative and considered inappropriate if there is an over – exposure to certain areas of body or is inappropriate in age.
· There are no restrictions at teams’ music regarding the character, style and speed of music.
The music that will be used for the choreographies of the teams should not contain inappropriate content, racist or derogatory comments, unpleasant or offensive language.
The organization reserves the right not to play this music and allow the team to compete.
REGULATIONS FOR SOLO CATEGORIES
Solo Latin and Ballroom Closed Categories
· In these categories the competitors can dance figures up to the level of fellow as they are presented in IDTA’s Latin and Ballroom Dance Book.
Dancers are recommended to hold frame which is the same such as the indicated frame for couples, especially in European dances.
Solo Latin Open Category
· In these categories the competitors will dance choreographies without kinesiological or rhythmic constraints.
· Acrobatic movements such as that bring the dancer upside down, support or carry his weight with his hands are prohibited.
· Participants in Open Solo Latin categories are automatically excluded from the Closed Solo Latin categories
Solo Freestyle Category
· Figures and kinesiology from IDTA’s book are acceptable.
Movements from other dances such as contemporary, jazz, funky jazz are allowed but they should not exceed 30% of choreography
· There are no clothing restrictions.
It is recommended that the appearance of the dancers to be appropriate and aesthetically acceptable.
· Accessories are prohibited.
Knee pads are not considered accessories.
· Music for the competition is announced by the event organizer at least 9 weeks before the competition.
Its duration is 1.30’ to 2.00’ minutes.
· If a competitor – dancer presents choreography of another dance type (eg. Street dance) he will be automatically transferred to the last position.
Solo Street Dance Category
· Figures and kinesiology from IDTA’s book are accepted as well as other street dance style that is internationally known and accepted
· There are no clothing restrictions.
It is recommended that the appearance of the dancers to be appropriate and aesthetically acceptable.
· Accessories are prohibited.
Knee pads are not considered accessories.
· Music for the competition is announced by the event organizer at least 9 weeks before the competition.
Its duration is 1.30’ to 2.00’ minutes.
Solo Commercial Category
·
· There are no clothing restrictions.
It is recommended that the appearance of the dancers to be appropriate and aesthetically acceptable.
· Accessories are prohibited.
Knee pads are not considered accessories.
· Music for the competition is announced by the event organizer at least 9 weeks before the competition.
Its duration is 1.30’ to 2.00’ minutes.
JUVENILLES 1 AND JUVENILLES 2 LATIN AND BALLROOM CLOTHING REGULATIONS
Latin and Ballroom
Boys: Black fabric pants with white shirt, Black bow - tie or black tie
Girls:
Monochrome dress in any shade, or dress in black & white.
The use of different fabrics of the same color is acceptable.
The use of lame-shine fabrics is prohibited.
The skirt must be knee-length while having the same color underwear.
The sleeves can be short or even to the wrist.
The use of see-through or lace is acceptable under the shoulder.
It is obligatory that the hair to be up-in-bond. Jewelry and any accessories are prohibited.
The dancing shoes should have a low and wide heels that is recommended by all organizations for these ages while they should be worn with white short socks.

These rules apply to all categories of these ages for Latin and Ballroom.
Belly Dance
Leggings (of any length) and bodysuit.
They can wear scarves with fleurs.
No brighter ornamental elements in the dress and head are allowed.
EXPOSE OF CHILDREN’S BELLY IS PROHIBITED.

· In all categories unless 3 entries are completed, the category will be canceled and you will be notified after the expiration of the registration period.
In case of limited participation, Youth and Adults categories will be joint together as well as juv 1, Juv 2 and Junior 1 and junior 2.
· The entry form should indicate the year of birth of each candidate.
· Registration will be considered valid after the bank deposit statement been sent by e-mail at: idtaelia@hotmail.com.
