Rules
GENERAL REGLATIONS
The participants of the competition should arrive one hour before the start time of the category in which they are participating.
All three athletes, coaches (teachers, team leaders etc) and judges should follow the respective ethical and moral codes published by IDTA GREEK AREΑ(they can be found at the bottom of this page)
Categories with only one participation cannot take place.
After the deadline of the participation declaration, you will be informed accordingly so that your participant(s) (if they are willing to do so) can move to another category (if possible) with sufficient participations.
In case of insufficient participations, Youth categories are ΣεπερίπτωσημηεπαρκώνσυμμετοχώνοικατηγορίεςYouth are concatenated with the respective Adult categories, the Juv1 categories with those of Juv2, and finally the Junior1 categories with those of Junior2.
In the 3 Dance Latin Closed category, the dances are: Cha cha cha, Rumba, Jive
In the 3 Dance Latin Open category the dances are: Cha cha cha, Samba, Rumba
In the 3 Dance Ballroom Open & Ballroom Closed category the dances are: Waltz, Tango, Quickstep
In the new 4 Dance Latin Open & Closed category the dances are: Cha cha cha, Samba, Rumba, Jive
For the Juvenilles categories in latin, ballroom and belly dance there are υπάρχουνdress restrictions which can be found below. Dance shoes in both Latin & Ballroom are mandatory.
The participants can take part in the age category they belong to, and to the exact next one if they wish. They cannot take part in lower aged categories or in categories with bigger difference than the exact next one.
All participants, but for the adults, must carry with them on the day of the competition, documentation with proof of their birth date.
In case an objection is raised concerning the age of a participant and that participant cannot prove their age, they will automatically be placed in the last place of the category, irrespectively of the judges’ votes.
The age category of a couple is determined from the older member of the couple, with the exception of the Seniors category where the age is determined by the age of the younger member of the couple.
In Pro/Am categories the age is determined by the age of the student, who also wears the number of the couple.
In Pro/Am categoriesonly the amateur student competes.

Thepartnermustaccompanytheamateurstudentupuntiltheprize ceremony.
Only the contestant goes up to the podium and is awarded.
CLOSE CATEGORIES
1) Debut One Dance Closed categories(first time in any dance competition) are included just for the Rumba & the Cha cha cha dances.
2) Beginners One Dance Closed Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Paso, Jive cannot dance in higher level categories.
3) Advanced One Dance Closed Rumba, Cha cha, Samba, Paso, Jive can also take part Closed 3 Dance, Closed 4 Dance & Closed 5 Dance categories.
4) All participants of 3 Dance, 4 Dance & 5 Dance Closed can also take part in One Dance Open Beginner category.
OPEN CATEGORIES
1) All participants of One Dance Open Beginners Rumba, Cha cha, Samba, Paso & Jive can also take part in 3 Dance, 4 Dance και5 Dance Closed categories.
2) All participants of One Dance Open Advanced Rumba, Cha cha, Samba, Paso & Jive can also take part in 3 Dance Open category.
3) All participants of 3 Dance Open category can also take part in One Dance Open Advanced or 5 Dance Open categories. As a result, all 3 Dance Open participants can also take part either to the exact lower category or to the exact higher one.
4) All 5 Dance Open participants cannot take part in any lower category if any athlete has participated before in any 5 Dance Open category.
